Pack light and pack twice
One medium suitcase and one small day bag is plenty. Lay everything out, then remove a third of it. Coaches and hotel lifts are far easier to manage with less weight.
Travel tips
After many years of taking senior groups around the world, these are the points we repeat most often at our pre departure meetings.
One medium suitcase and one small day bag is plenty. Lay everything out, then remove a third of it. Coaches and hotel lifts are far easier to manage with less weight.
Keep at least a week of extra tablets, a printed prescription list with generic names and a note from your doctor. Never place daily medication in checked baggage.
Buy cover the same week you book, declare existing conditions honestly and carry the policy number both on paper and on your phone.
Cobblestones in Europe and temple steps in Asia are unforgiving. Closed shoes with grip and support will change how much you enjoy each day.
Drink water on the flight, move around every couple of hours and step into daylight when you land. Our first day is always kept free for rest.
Carry your passport, visa and insurance copies in your bag, and keep photographs of the same documents in your phone and email.
A small amount of local currency for the first day plus one credit card is usually enough. Tell your bank the countries and dates before you leave.
Let us know about diabetes, salt restrictions, knee trouble or anything else at the time of booking. We pass it to the hotels and plan the walking around it.
